Software Engineering Advisor

• Design and develop Data Pipelines as per requirement specifications in a timely manner.
• Monitor, troubleshoot and fix issues originating in data pipelines.
• Triage and resolve tickets and issues based on severity and priority.
• Answer business users questions around data discrepancy in production systems
• Generate on demand ad-hoc or user specific reports (using SQL / Python) to support the business team.
• Create Redshift & PostgreSQL DB views to enable business reporting.
• Open Service Requests with Various Product Teams
• Automation of Manual/Repetitive Tasks Wherever Possible
• Working in environment utilizing Kanban and Agile Methodologies utilizing DevOps principles.

Qualifications

Required Skills:

• Very strong skills in the following technologies:
• SQL
• Python
• AWS Services- S3, EC2, Glue, Redshift, PostgreSQL
• Apache Airflow - DAGs, Tasks, Scheduled, Operators etc.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
• Familiarity with agile methodology.
• Good working knowledge of data warehousing concepts, dimensional models and relational databases, and data management.
• Git Based Distributed SW Code Management using GitHub etc.
• SW Code deployment using best CI/CD practices.
• REST APIs & their Lifecycle Management using Postman (Secondary)
• Troubleshoot data issues surfacing in Tableau, ThoughtSpot due to Redshift, PostgreSQL DB.

Required Experience & Education:

• 11-13 years of experience
• College degree in any STEM based field.
