Software Engineer

Summary:

A leading global technology company in the payments industry is hiring a Software Engineer for the Business Rules Engineering & Strategy team. In this role, you will help build strong IBM ODM Rule solutions that support transaction-level decisioning, alerting, and notifications. The work is focused on mission-critical, high-volume transaction processing systems, along with the creation of rule strategies that strengthen the payment ecosystem.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide technical expertise for fraud prediction applications.
• Create rule strategies that follow design and architecture guidelines.
• Develop and implement rule updates in an agile environment.
• Assess rule changes using transaction data to confirm quality.
• Assist with production deployments and coordinate releases with multiple teams.
• Track system performance during and after deployments to maintain stability.

Required Skills:

• IBM ODM Tools (business console, ODM developer).
• Database knowledge (Oracle, SQL).
• Experience with Python, AI Tools, or other Rule Development Tools.

Education & Qualifications:

• Bachelor&rsquos degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
• Experience with IBM Operational Decision Manager software.
• Experience delivering technical solutions aligned with business and product strategies.
• Knowledge of object-oriented architecture, design, and development, with a preference for Java experience.
• Experience with software engineering concepts and methodologies, including agile lifecycles, testing automation, and behavior-driven development.
