Software Development Engineer-II (System Test)

Position Summary

We are seeking a System Test Engineer with deep expertise in testing SaaS-based cybersecurity platforms. This individual will be responsible for designing and executing end-to-end system tests, validating integrations with external systems, and ensuring performance, reliability, and security of the platform. The ideal candidate brings a mix of automation, cloud, and cybersecurity testing experience, along with strong problem-solving abilities and a collaborative mindset.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute system-level test plans, test cases, and automated test scripts for a SaaS cybersecurity platform.
• Validate functionality, scalability, and performance of cloud-based security applications and their integration with ITSM systems.
• Develop and maintain test automation frameworks to increase coverage and streamline validation processes.
• Perform security, performance, and regression testing to identify bottlenecks, vulnerabilities, and system issues.
• Test and validate functionality of endpoint agents and their communication with the central SaaS platform.
• Collaborate with product management, development, and DevOps teams to ensure delivery of high-quality software.
• Implement and execute API, integration, and user acceptance testing.
• Contribute to test strategy planning and continuous improvement initiatives for QA processes.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in system testing of SaaS applications, preferably in cybersecurity.
• Strong understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS, DNS, VPN, IPSec, TLS).
• Knowledge of security technologies including firewalls, IDS/IPS, zero-trust architectures, and cloud security principles.
• Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Robot Framework, PyTest, etc.
• Proficiency in Python, Bash, or similar scripting languages.
• Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and distributed systems testing.
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps methodologies.
• Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and root cause analysis skills in cloud-native environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Working knowledge of security frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001) and compliance standards.
• Experience with security testing tools (e.g., Burp Suite, Nessus, Wireshark, Metasploit).
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Security – Specialty, CCNA Security, CISSP, CEH).
