Job Overview:

• Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) Automation Team

Primary Duties:

• Assess and guarantee the availability of components within their teams, and determine methods to align all services with a Service Level Objective (SLO) of 99%

• Oversee systems for deployed automation and establish Service Level Indicators (SLIs) and SLOs in collaboration with relevant stakeholders
• Develop and implement an observability platform
• Examine all ownership information to verify it is up-to-date and comprehensive
• Analyze the volume and precision of bugs assigned to the team and pinpoint chances to enhance automated triage
• Identify flows eligible for Customer Flow Based Testing (CFBT), create CFBT tests, and educate the team on crafting and maintaining these tests
• Facilitate postmortem analysis for any incidents categorized as P1 or higher during the rotation
• Instruct the team on the distributed problem management process
• Provide operational and design consultation to promote high reliability
• Respond to emergency incidents with action-focused postmortem Root Cause Analysis (RCA) debriefs
• Promote continuous improvement by minimizing toil and enhancing automation
• Conduct application performance and availability assessments
