Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Tender Phase:
- Define industrial assumptions (PIO, MoB, Macro-process) aligned with the industrial reference library and SMP/SML of the product range.
- Validate cost estimates related to industrial aspects of tenders.
Project Execution Phase:
- Ensure deployment of standard processes and product solutions (SMP/SML, equipment, and tools).
- Guarantee manufacturability and, where applicable, transferability using validated technologies.
- Enforce co-engineering rules to optimize development lead time and quality.
- Validate industrial gate reviews during DFQ (Design for Quality) process.
- Confirm readiness for Serial Go based on industrial scope.
- Ensure timely, complete, and high-quality documentation and ERP data.
- Oversee the implementation of manufacturing equipment aligned with EHS standards, ergonomics, and project QCD (Quality, Cost, Delivery) targets.
- Support production with continuous improvement initiatives.
Special Processes & Operations:
- Organize and manage special processes and critical operations impacting product safety and reliability.
Resource Management:
- Plan and manage staff capacity and skill development.
- Monitor current and projected workloads.
- Manage EHS compliance in industrialization and support broader management activities.
- Foster team involvement in PME (Process Manufacturing Engineering) networks and contribute to standard improvements.

Educational Requirements:
- BE / B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, or Mechanical Engineering from a Tier 1 institution
- Six Sigma Black Belt certification
- Strong foundation in Lean Manufacturing principles
Desired Experience & Skills:
- Minimum 15 years in industrial roles, preferably in the railway sector within an international organization.
- Proven team leadership in engineering and technical environments.
- Technical expertise in:
- Process engineering
- Manufacturing documentation
- Line balancing
- Lean manufacturing
- Proficient in ERP systems (e.g., SAP) for:
- Bill of Materials (BOM)
- Routings
- Configuration tracking
- Knowledge of relevant quality and EHS standards and regulations.
