ServiceNow Testing Consultant

Primary Responsibilities:

• Design and implement ServiceNow testing strategies across modules such as ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, covering functional regression, integration, and end-to-end scenarios.
• Create comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test data derived from business requirements, user stories, and technical specifications for ServiceNow implementations and upgrades.
• Conduct hands-on ServiceNow Testing for configurations, customizations, workflows, catalog items, integrations, and UI policies to ensure they meet quality and compliance standards.
• Leverage the Automated Test Framework (ATF) to design, build, execute, and maintain automated test suites, enhancing coverage and minimizing manual efforts.
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, process owners, and project managers, to clarify requirements, pinpoint gaps, and validate solutions.
• Evaluate test results and defects, conduct root cause analysis, and collaborate with development teams to ensure prompt resolution and revalidation of fixes.
• Maintain test traceability from requirements to test cases and defects, ensuring clear documentation and test evidence in the appropriate tools and repositories.
• Assist in release and deployment activities by performing smoke, sanity, and regression testing in non-production and production-like environments.
• Contribute to the establishment of testing standards and best practices for ServiceNow projects, including the creation of reusable test assets, templates, and checklists.
• Provide mentorship to junior team members in ServiceNow Testing methodologies, ATF usage, and quality assurance practices, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.

Technical Qualifications:

• Extensive experience in ServiceNow Testing across ITSM, ITOM, and HRSD, including intricate workflows, integrations, and custom applications.
• Hands-on expertise in developing robust ATF suites for regression, smoke, and integration testing, emphasizing maintainability and scalability.
• Demonstrated success in large-scale ServiceNow implementations, migrations, or upgrades, including testing during version upgrades, patching, and module rollouts.
• Familiarity with ITOM components such as Discovery, Service Mapping, and Event Management, along with their testing considerations, data quality, integrations, and performance aspects.
• Experience with test management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms for managing test cases, execution, and defect tracking in ServiceNow projects.

Additional Qualifications:

• Preferred skills include Agile methodologies, ServiceNow ATF, and ITSM Automation.
