Senior/Lead Java Automation Engineer
Job Description
Responsibilities
Develop and execute test strategies, plans, and processes for complex software systems.
Create, enhance, and maintain dependable automated testing frameworks and scripts using RestAssured.
Partner with development, DevOps, and product teams to support consistently high-quality releases.
Lead ongoing enhancements to QA practices, testing tools, and methodologies.
Review test outcomes, determine root causes, and deliver practical, actionable recommendations.
Maintain adherence to applicable industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Skills
Must have
6–10 years of experience in software testing, with a strong emphasis on automation script development using RestAssured
Strong command of programming/scripting languages (e.g., Java preferred).
Experience with API testing tools (preferably: REST Assured), Postman, ReadyAPI, etc.,
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins, Git, and Azure DevOps.
Thorough understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Exceptional problem-solving, communication, and leadership capabilities.
Strong knowledge in Selenium (Java)
Nice to have
ISTQB Advanced Level or equivalent certification.
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Airline Domain knowledge is a plus
