Senior Video Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Implementing proactive capacity models, upgrading features, configuring, and releasing tools for mission-critical monitoring in an agile manner to support platform evolution and growth, aligned with KPIs and high availability designs, including disaster recovery strategies.
• Adhering to industry best practices to successfully deliver new projects while ensuring compliance with established blueprints.
• Transitioning on-premises and legacy solutions to contemporary architectures for both on-prem and cloud environments.

Technical Requirements:

• A minimum of 6 years of demonstrable experience and expertise in the cable, satellite, or telecommunications industry, focusing on end-to-end system integration of B2B and B2C video services, including Video Headend, IPTV, and OTT solutions.
• Hands-on experience with video processing workflows encompassing feed contribution, ingest, encoding, decoding, transcoding, and both offline and real-time packaging for ABR outputs such as HLS, MPEG-DASH, H.
• 264 H.
• 265 profiles.
• Proficiency in video codec ecosystems and transport protocols including MPEG 2/4, GOP structure, I/P/B frames, AVC, HEVC, RTP, RTMP, SRT, SDR, HDR, container formats like MP4, MPEG-TS, fragmented MP4, as well as managing bitrates, aspect ratios, manifest tuning, segment length, and fMP4 vs. TS for Live Replay Recordings and VoD delivery.
• Extensive experience with packaging and streaming tools such as FFmpeg, Ateme solutions, or comparable encoders and packagers, including real-time ABR ladder generation, bitrate ladder optimization, Dolby audio, closed captions, subtitles, SCTE 35 ad signaling, and both client and server-side manifest manipulation.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Possession of industry-recognized vendor certifications at the Professional level.
• Demonstrated experience and proficiency with Cloud and Automation technologies for deploying and maintaining secure and robust cloud-native solutions across major public platforms like AWS and Google Cloud (GCP), which include compute, storage, networking, serverless architectures, and cost-optimized, multi-region zone solutions.
• Expertise in network and security architecture, focusing on VPCs, peering, ingress/egress, IAM, encryption, and zero trust principles.
• Proficient in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation tools for infrastructure provisioning and configuration, using frameworks such as Terraform, Puppet, Ansible, Chef, or CloudFormation, while integrating configuration management best practices and creating robust CI/CD pipelines with tools like Jenkins and Git solutions.
• Strong skills in containerization and orchestration technologies, specifically with Kubernetes, Docker, ECK, EKS, and GKE.
• Experience with AI, ML, and LLM technologies.
