Job Description
Cradlepoint is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Technical Lead - Linux Security Engineer to join our product development team. In this role, you will be instrumental in enhancing the security posture of our telephony application server platform. You will collaborate closely with system architects, developers, and security specialists to ensure our solutions remain secure, compliant, and high-performing in cloud-native and virtual environments. You will also be responsible for writing detailed specifications and functional documents to design robust solutions for various security requirements.
What You Will Do: Key Responsibilities
- Enhance the security posture of our telephony application server platform (e.g., MTAS or similar telecom core products).
- Work closely with system architects, developers, and security specialists to ensure solutions remain secure, compliant, and high-performing.
- Design and implement security solutions for cloud-native environments and virtual environments.
- Write detailed specifications and functional documents, designing robust solutions for various security requirements.
- Perform upgrade testing and workflow validation to ensure secure system transitions.
The Skills You Bring: Required Qualifications
- Experience: 8-14 years of hands-on experience in Linux system security and work experience in Cloud-native environments.
- Programming Languages: Knowledge of C++ coding language.
- Security Tools & Vulnerability Analysis: Familiarity with security scanning tools and vulnerability analysis techniques.
- Scripting: Proficient in Python and Shell scripting for automation and configuration tasks.
- Linux Auditing & Logging: Good understanding of Linux auditing and logging systems.
- Telecom Product Experience (Preferable): Experience working with MTAS or similar telecom core products.
- Cryptography: Knowledge of cryptographic algorithms.
- Security Protocols: Exposure to security protocols such as SNMPv3, NTP, DNSSec, IPSec, TLS, HTTPS, SSHv2, LDAP, and Rsyslog.
- Telecom Protocols (Preferable): Exposure to telecom protocols, IMS stack, or VoLTE/VoNR infrastructure.
