Senior Technical Lead

Cradlepoint is seeking a dynamic Senior Technical Lead to join our R&D team. In this pivotal role, you will work with a team of highly motivated engineers, contributing to the delivery of advanced features for our telephony and multimedia solutions, including those for VoLTE, VoWifi, and other IMS-enabled services. You will be instrumental in the development lifecycle, from technical leadership within an Agile team to ensuring the quality and performance of critical components.

What You Will Do: Key Responsibilities

• Technically lead an Agile cross-functional team, guiding them in the delivery of key features for our multimedia telephony application server (MTAS) and related IMS solutions.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of products and services spanning across components, units, nodes, networks, systems, and solutions.
• Engage in the full development journey, including requirement analysis, system design, architecture design, software design, integration, and testing.
• Utilize TTCN for programming and testing, ensuring robust and reliable application behavior.
• Apply deep knowledge of IMS nodes, SIP, MEGACO, and Diameter protocols in solution development and troubleshooting.
• Break down customer requirements into user story-based team backlogs, facilitating efficient agile development.
• Collaborate proactively, share knowledge, and foster a strong team environment.
• Contribute to ensuring solutions meet carrier-grade standards, including those running on virtualized environments.

Required Qualifications

• Education: B.Tech Degree in Computer Science (CS), Electronics & Communication (EC), Electrical Engineering (EE), or related studies. M.Tech Degree is a plus.
• IMS Product Test Experience: Proven overall experience in IMS product testing, with dedicated focus on virtualized telecom carrier-grade products.
• TTCN Programming: MUST HAVE strong hands-on TTCN programming skills.
• IMS Protocol Knowledge: MUST HAVE strong knowledge of IMS nodes, SIP, MEGACO, and Diameter protocols.
• Virtualization Experience: Experience in testing solutions running on OpenStack environments using KVM/VMware hypervisors is a plus.
• Problem-Solving & Debugging: Creative problem-solving skills and excellent troubleshooting/debugging abilities.
• Scripting: Working knowledge of Python/PERL or any other scripting language.
• C++ Programming: Working knowledge of C++ programming is a plus.
• Agile Team Leadership: Demonstrated ability to work in and technically lead an Agile cross-functional team.
• IMS & 3GPP Standards: Strong knowledge of IMS architecture and 3GPP specifications, including GSMA/VoLTE specs.
• DevOps Practices: Knowledge of modern DevOps practices, workflows, and tools.
• Network Function Virtualization (NFV): Prior experience in network function virtualization would be a significant advantage.
