Roles And Responsibilities

Participate on project teams to deploy solutions across open-source and cloud technologies
Architect open-source and cloud technology solutions addressing storage, messaging, streaming, analysis, scalability, DevOps, and security
Participate in pre-sales cycles as technical expert to drive adoption and maturation of open-source and cloud technologies
Provide thought leadership to Ahead and customers
Lead customer requirements gathering and design to achieve business goals
Communicate with customers including top management for explanation, interpretation, and advising
Lead a team of technical delivery resources
Lead development and testing activities
Lead architecture and design of complex solutions
Lead creation of written deliverables
Lead client demos and working sessions
Lead integration design sessions and deployment
Participate as technical expert in client workshops
Influence team members and customers regarding policies, best practices, and procedures
Achieve high team standards
Contribute to methodology refinement and best practices
Understand performance, scaling, and functional characteristics of software technologies
Mentor junior staff and support project leadership
Obtain and maintain relevant certifications

Qualifications

Minimum 5+ years customer-facing role experience
3+ years designing, securing, and deploying large-scale applications and solutions
Experience with major cloud vendor environments (development, access, migration)
Effective communication and presentation skills across all organizational levels
Subject matter expert in at least one open-source and cloud technology
Architect-level development skills in at least one programming language (e.g., Java, Python)
Architect-level development skills in at least one messaging protocol (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ, JMS)
Strong skills integrating third party tools and solutions
Strong project and situational awareness
Strong attention to detail
Self-starter with proactive approach
