Senior Technical Author

Job Overview:

• We are looking for skilled Aero Engine Technical Authors Competent Engineers to oversee the documentation and compliance related to technical variance responses for aero engine systems.
• This position demands robust engineering judgment, effective stakeholder engagement, and proficiency in technical publications alongside safety and reliability standards.

Primary Duties:

• Lead the management and delivery of Technical Variance responses and outcomes within established cost, quality, and timeline parameters.
• Execute technical tasks and validate documentation as a Competent Author.
• Evaluate technical data and propose solutions, including modifications to technical publications.
• Ensure adherence to aerospace documentation standards and safety reliability protocols.
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external clients to maintain clarity and accuracy.
• Utilize engineering judgment to identify and resolve Safety, Reliability, and Cost issues.

Technical Qualifications:

• In-depth understanding of Aero Engine modules, components, and terminology.
• Proficient in technical documentation standards such as S1000D and AS9100.
• Capability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documents.
• Knowledge of DFMEA, PFMEA, safety analysis, and reliability engineering.
• Outstanding communication and networking abilities for effective stakeholder interaction.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a keen attention to detail.

Additional Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or a relevant engineering field.
• 5 to 14 years of experience in aero engine technical documentation or engineering roles.
• Practical experience in managing technical variance, documentation, and compliance.
• Certifications in AS9100, S1000D, or Reliability Engineering are advantageous.
• Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and manage various priorities effectively.
