Senior system engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and support enterprise applications utilizing the Liferay DXP Portal
• Customize and create portlets, themes, layouts, hooks, fragments, and widgets
• Build and deploy OSGi modules, services, and RESTful APIs
• Implement content management workflows and personalization functionalities within Liferay
• Integrate Liferay with external applications, databases, and third-party systems
• Develop tailored solutions using Java Spring Framework, JSP, JavaScript, and RESTful services
• Configure and oversee Liferay environments, deployments, and upgrades
• Diagnose application issues and enhance portal performance
• Collaborate with architects, business analysts, UX teams, and stakeholders to fulfill business requirements
• Adhere to Agile development methodologies and embrace DevOps best practices
• Required Skills
• Extensive experience with Liferay DXP 7
• Proficient in Liferay Portal development
• Strong skills in Java, J2EE, Spring Boot, and Spring MVC
• Experience with OSGi Framework, Service Builder, and module development
• In-depth knowledge of REST APIs, SOAP services, JSON, and web services integration
• Experience in developing custom portlets, themes, layouts, hooks, and extensions
• Familiarity with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, React, or Angular
• Practical experience with Git, Maven, Gradle, and CI/CD pipelines
• Knowledge of application servers such as Tomcat
• Experience with relational databases like Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQL
• Understanding of portal security, authentication, authorization, and SSO implementations

• Core skills in Technology Portal Liferay

• Advanced conceptual understanding of at least one programming language
• Advanced conceptual knowledge of one database and one operating system
• Familiarity with software engineering principles through practical experience in at least one project
