Senior system engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and sustain backend functionalities within Salesforce Commerce Cloud Demandware.
• Create and tailor SFCC cartridges, controllers, middleware, and business logic.
• Execute and oversee integrations with external systems including ERP, OMS, CRM, payment gateways, and tax and shipping providers.
• Develop and utilize REST APIs, OCAPI, SCAPI, and web services.
• Configure and manage catalogs, promotions, customer groups, inventory, and pricing through Business Manager.
• Establish and schedule jobs for data imports, exports, and batch processing.
• Build secure, scalable, and high-performance eCommerce applications.
• Diagnose production issues and carry out root cause analysis.
• Engage in code reviews, deployments, and release management activities.
• Collaborate with architects, business analysts, QA teams, and stakeholders.
• Required Skills
• Extensive hands-on experience in backend development for Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) Demandware.
• Proficiency in SFRA architecture, cartridge development, and backend customization.
• Strong command of JavaScript, Server-Side JS, and Node.js concepts.
• Experience with Controllers, Middleware, ISML, Pipelines, legacy Jobs, and Custom Objects.
• Practical knowledge of OCAPI, SCAPI, REST APIs, and web services.
• Deep understanding of Business Manager administration and configuration.
• Experience with integrating payment gateways such as Adyen, PayPal, Stripe, Cybersource, and Authorize.Net.
• Solid grasp of order management, inventory management, customer management, and checkout workflows.
• Familiarity with Git, Bitbucket, GitHub, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of Agile and Scrum development methodologies.
• Preferred Skills
• Certification as a Salesforce B2C Commerce Cloud Developer.
• Experience with Headless Commerce, PWA Kit, and Composable Commerce architectures.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or other cloud platforms.
• Understanding of SiteGenesis to SFRA migration.
• Experience in multi-site and multi-brand SFCC implementations.
