Role Description

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior SAP ABAP Developer with proven expertise across SAP S/4HANA, SAP Fiori, UI5, CDS Views, OData Services, and ABAP on HANA. The selected candidate will design, develop, enhance, and support SAP applications, working closely with functional consultants and business stakeholders to deliver scalable, high-quality SAP solutions. This role aligns with ABAP, Fiori, and S/4HANA development capabilities noted in the internal job description (JD).

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and enhance custom SAP applications using ABAP and S/4HANA technologies

Develop SAP Fiori/UI5 applications and configure SAP Fiori Launchpad

Create and optimize CDS Views, OData Services, and RAP-based applications

Develop and support reports, interfaces, enhancements, forms, workflows, and APIs

Work on ABAP on HANA performance optimization and code remediation

Participate in solution design discussions and provide technical estimates

Collaborate with functional teams across SAP modules including MM, SD, PP, WM/EWM, and FICO

Support integration using IDocs, Web Services, REST/SOAP APIs, and SAP BTP extensions

Follow Clean Core principles and SAP development best practices

Participate in code reviews, testing, deployment, and production support activities

Mandatory Skills

8 years of SAP ABAP development experience

Strong expertise in SAP S/4HANA and ABAP on HANA

Hands-on experience with SAP Fiori/UI5 development

Experience with CDS Views, OData V2/V4, RAP, RESTful ABAP Programming Model, and Fiori Elements

Strong knowledge of Data Dictionary, ALV Reports, Smart Forms, Adobe Forms, BAPIs, Enhancements, BADIs, User Exits, and Interfaces

Experience with SAP Web IDE, BAS, and Fiori deployment processes

Strong debugging, performance tuning, and troubleshooting skills

Preferred Skills

Experience with SAP BTP and side-by-side extensions

Knowledge of Clean Core and SAP Extensibility Framework

Exposure to SAP S/4HANA Cloud

Agile project delivery experience

Experience in multicountry SAP implementations

Educational Qualification

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent

Excellent stakeholder communication skills

Ability to work independently and mentor junior developers

Strong collaboration skills in global project environments

Candidate needs to travel to client office C V Raman Nagar Bagmane for 2 to 3 days or all days wherever applicable
