Senior Software Engineer B2
Job Description
Job Summary
We are seeking a Sr Software Engineer B2 for a hybrid work model. This role focuses on building modern web and backend services using Angular versions thirteen to sixteen, Angular JS, Java, Spring Boot, and a microservices architecture. You will deliver secure, scalable solutions for cards and payments, collaborating in a day shift environment with no travel expectations.
Responsibilities
Design and implement robust user-facing applications using Angular versions thirteen to sixteen, delivering responsive and accessible digital experiences for enterprise-scale clients
Develop reusable Angular components and modules to ensure consistency, maintainability, and high performance across complex front-end applications
Refactor and improve legacy Angular JS codebases into modern Angular architectures to enhance reliability, security, and long-term supportability
Design and implement Java-based microservices grounded in domain-driven principles, supporting high availability and scalability for critical financial workflows
Develop Spring Boot services that integrate with internal and external systems while ensuring fault tolerance, observability, and secure communication
Create and maintain REST-style service contracts that are easy to consume, versioned predictably, and documented clearly for partner engineering teams
Implement strong error handling, logging, and monitoring within microservices to enable rapid diagnosis of production issues and proactive service health management
Work with product managers, architects, and peer engineers to convert cards and payments business requirements into technical designs and implementation plans
Write unit, integration, and component tests for Angular, Java, and Spring Boot services to support reliable deployments and minimize regression risk during frequent releases
Optimize database interactions and service performance to manage high-volume transaction flows typical of cards and payments processing environments
Participate in code reviews and pair programming to share knowledge, enforce coding standards, and raise overall engineering quality within the team
Collaborate with site reliability and platform teams to deploy services via automated pipelines, improving build reliability and release consistency within the hybrid work model
Contribute to backlog grooming, sprint planning, and day-to-day agile ceremonies to plan work transparently, track progress, and ensure predictable business outcomes in a day shift schedule
Promote secure coding practices and compliance-aware implementations, particularly for card data handling and payment flows, to protect customer information and support regulatory requirements
Support production incident analysis by reviewing logs, trace data, and metrics, then implementing corrective actions that improve system resilience and customer satisfaction
Qualifications
Demonstrate strong experience in Angular versions thirteen to sixteen, building modular, maintainable, and testable front-end solutions for complex business journeys
Apply practical experience in Angular JS to understand older implementations and guide incremental migration strategies toward modern frameworks without disrupting services
Use expert-level Java and Spring Boot knowledge to design and implement microservices that are scalable, secure, and aligned with enterprise engineering guidelines
Leverage hands-on expertise in microservices patterns such as configuration management, service discovery, and circuit breaking to build resilient distributed systems
Utilize knowledge of the cards and payments domain to design flows reflecting real-world transaction rules, settlement processes, and dispute scenarios, even if experience is gained through related financial services
Communicate effectively in hybrid work settings using collaboration tools and structured documentation so distributed team members can coordinate efficiently during day shift operations
Apply seven to eleven years of software engineering experience to make sound technical decisions, mentor peers informally, and uphold high standards without formal leadership accountability
Certifications Required
Oracle Certified Professional Java Programmer or equivalent Java certification preferred; additional certification in Spring or cloud platforms is beneficial
