Senior Software Engineer

Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer with a strong background in software development and search engine technologies. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of working with various programming languages and tools, as well as experience in agile methodologies and change management.

Responsibilities:

As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for developing, testing, and maintaining software applications. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions. Additionally, you will manage and administer search engine technologies to enhance our data retrieval capabilities.

Requirements:

• Position requires a four-year degree or equivalent from an accredited college or university.
• 8 years of software development experience.
• 3 years of experience with search engines like AWS OpenSearch, Lucid, SOLR, etc.

Required Skills:

• Hands-on experience in Java, Python, Jenkins, and Kubernetes (Optional).
• Proficiency in XML/HTML and Python scripts.
• Experience with web servers such as Apache and IIS.
• Knowledge of databases like Oracle, SQLlite, and DB2.
• Strong SQL skills.
• Proficient in Java/JavaScript.
• Experience with Eclipse IDE, XPath, XSLT, and Bash scripting.

Preferred Skills:

• IT experience related to programming, integration, or infrastructure.
• Knowledge and experience with change management and agile methodologies.
• Experience with IBM Watson Explorer and search engine administration.
