As a Python Cloud Development Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

• Designing, developing, and testing Power Private Cloud software.
  
  

Possessing the ability to comprehend the architecture and transform requirements into both high-level and low-level designs.

• Active participation in open source contributions and familiarity with open source tools is preferred.
• Software development experience in the Cloud Domain, including OpenStack, Virtualization, Linux OS Internals, Networking, Storage, Security, and Infrastructure as a Service is preferred.
• Knowledge of cloud-based virtualization software such as GCP or Azure, along with OpenStack concepts.
• Collaborate with the Open Source community and contribute to open source development and testing.
• A solid understanding and practical experience with full-stack development is preferred.

Required Technical And Professional Expertise

• Over 5 years of experience in the IT sector.
• More than 5 years of experience as a developer skilled in feature enablement on private or public cloud platforms, or in a similar role supporting partners and enterprises.
• At least 5 years of experience in solutions development or implementation in Unix or Linux environments using Python.
• Strong proficiency in Python programming and scripting, alongside knowledge of OpenStack concepts.
• Experience participating in Open Source communities is a significant advantage.
• Demonstrated ability to architect, design, and develop complex customer solutions in a fast-paced technological landscape.
• Capability to engage in customer-facing activities within a dynamic environment with tight deadlines.
• Familiarity with the concepts surrounding the OpenStack cloud computing platform.
• Skill in identifying business challenges and crafting custom solutions to address them.
• Understanding of object-oriented design and applicable design patterns in modern software development.
• Practical knowledge of working within agile, scrum, and DevOps teams.
• A clear grasp of cloud service and deployment models.
• Comfort in working with widely distributed teams, including interaction with open source communities.
• Eagerness to learn independently, quickly, and apply new knowledge effectively.
• Any hands-on experience with technologies such as OpenStack, virtualization, and public cloud services, including Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is beneficial.
• Ability to swiftly learn new technologies, frameworks, and methods, as well as facilitate technical discussions with your team and external stakeholders.
• A strong interest in contributing to and building communities in open source.
