Senior Associate, Quality Engineering - Level 1

Publicis Sapient is seeking a Senior Associate in Quality Engineering with extensive experience in functional and manual testing to ensure the delivery of high-quality technology solutions for our clients. You will leverage your expertise in capital markets, testing methodologies, APIs, and databases to validate intricate trading applications throughout the development lifecycle. Collaborating with developers, business stakeholders, and fellow quality engineers, you will identify risks, resolve defects, and enhance product quality. Your testing proficiency and analytical thinking will play a vital role in delivering reliable solutions that add significant value for our clients.

Your Impact:

• Plan and carry out functional, manual, regression, and progression testing to guarantee the quality and reliability of complex applications.
• Validate capital-markets workflows throughout the trading lifecycle, including order creation, execution, settlement, and associated lifecycle events.
• Develop comprehensive test scenarios addressing Equities and Fixed Income instruments, such as Bonds, Bond Forwards, Futures, and Swaps.
• Test REST and SOAP APIs by verifying contracts, requests, responses, business fields, and error scenarios utilizing tools like Postman or curl.
• Independently write and execute SQL queries to validate application and test data across pertinent database tables.
• Oversee defects throughout their entire lifecycle, engage in defect triage, analyze application logs, and assist in root-cause analysis.
• Work collaboratively with developers, traders, and business stakeholders in an Agile environment to accomplish testing tasks and facilitate successful releases.
  
  

Qualifications

Your Skills & Experience:

• 4+ years of direct experience in functional or manual testing, ideally involving capital-markets or trading applications.
• Solid understanding of the capital-markets trading lifecycle and experience testing Equities and Fixed Income products.
• Strong grasp of test planning, test-case design, estimation, regression testing, defect management, and test metrics.
• Familiarity with REST and SOAP API testing, including request and response validation using Postman, curl, or similar tools.
• Capability to independently write SQL queries employing SELECT, WHERE, JOIN, and GROUP BY.
• Experience in Agile or Scrum teams and active participation in related sprint ceremonies.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to work autonomously and drive assigned tasks to completion.

• Experience with front-office or middle-office applications in an Asset Management setting.
• Familiarity with test automation using Selenium with Java or Robot Framework with Python.
• Python scripting skills for test utilities, data validation, or basic automation.
