Your Role And Responsibilities

As a Python Cloud Development Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

• Designing, developing, and testing Power Private Cloud software.
  
  

Capable of comprehending the architecture and translating requirements into both high-level and low-level designs.

• Active participation and contributions to open-source projects and familiarity with open-source tools is preferred.
• Experience in software development within the Cloud Domain, including OpenStack, Virtualization, Linux OS Internals, Networking, Storage, Security, and Infrastructure as a Service is preferred.
• Understanding cloud-based virtualization software (e.g., GCP, Azure) and OpenStack concepts.
• Collaborating with the Open Source community and contributing to open-source development and testing.
• Strong understanding and hands-on experience in full-stack development is preferred.

Required Technical And Professional Expertise

• Over 5 years of experience in the IT industry.
• More than 5 years of experience as a developer skilled in feature enablement on private/public cloud platforms or in a comparable role supporting partners and enterprises.
• At least 5 years of experience in solutions development or implementation within Unix or Linux environments using the Python programming language.
• Proficient in Python programming and scripting, along with OpenStack concepts.
• Experience engaging with Open Source communities is highly advantageous.
• Demonstrated experience in architecting, designing, and developing intricate customer solutions in a rapidly changing technology landscape.
• Ability to engage in customer-facing activities in a dynamic environment with tight deadlines.
• Familiarity with the concepts of the OpenStack cloud computing platform.
• Capacity to identify business challenges and create tailored solutions to address them.
• Working knowledge of object-oriented design and relevant design patterns in modern software development.
• Practical experience working within agile, scrum, and DevOps teams.
• Strong understanding of cloud service and deployment models.
• Comfortable collaborating with highly distributed teams, including interactions with open-source communities.
• Ability to independently study, learn swiftly, and apply new knowledge effectively.
• Any commercial experience with technologies such as OpenStack, virtualization, and public cloud services, including Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Quick learner of new technologies, frameworks, and techniques; adept at facilitating technical discussions within your team and with external stakeholders.
• Enthusiastic about contributing to and building communities within the open-source ecosystem.
• Capable of working independently as well as part of an agile team.
