Senior / Patient Service Officer

Job Overview

We are currently seeking a dedicated Patient Service Officer to join our team. The successful applicant will be assigned to one of the clinics located within the medical centre.

The selected candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including but not limited to:

• Conducting patient registration by entering data and creating records in the system.
• Preparing bill estimation forms.
• Providing guidance to patients regarding Medisave, Medishield, private shield, and corporate guarantees, ensuring signatures are obtained on necessary documents.
• Coordinating with doctors or clinic personnel to finalize required information.
• Assisting the doctor during patient consultations.
• Scheduling appointments within the system.
• Identifying and correcting duplicate patient records in the database.
• Supporting the training and orientation of new and junior staff members.
• Collecting deposits when necessary.
• Managing billing processes and collecting payments (cash, NETS, credit cards, checks) with precision and integrity.
• Completing daily collection closures and notifying supervisors of any discrepancies.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in the healthcare sector.
• Experience with clinical tasks such as blood sample collection and vital signs monitoring is a plus.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient with technology.
• Strong interpersonal skills, a collaborative team player, and effective time management capabilities.
• Eagerness to learn and adapt are essential qualities for this position.
• 5.5-day work week with standard office hours.
