Senior Java AWS Developer

Critical Skills:

• Design and develop high-volume, low-latency applications for mission-critical systems
• Work independently in all parts of the development cycle
• Working with other engineering teams to gather requirements and write RFCs and Tech Specs for projects
• Fluent in English and is able to effectively communicate and collaborate with team members
• Also important is the ability to be self-directed when necessary
• Diligent in proper documentation and quality management and will spend the time learning methods and frameworks
• Ability to thrive in a startup (fast-paced, agile) environment

Technical Skills:

• 7 experience as a Software/Java developer
• Strong skills and experience in Java, Spring, Spring Boot, etc.
• Extensive experience with AWS - AWS certified preferred (S3, DynamoDB, Aurora, RDS, Lambda, Kinesis, Streaming services)
• Proficient in API and microservices architecture
• API documentation / specification tools (Swagger)
• Extensive experience working with CI/CD technologies - Cucumber, JUnit, GitHub, Maven, Jenkins, Sonar, Docker, or Ansible / Chef / Terraform
• Working knowledge of Encryption and API Security policies
• Execution of software delivery
• You are skilled at cloud architecture, testing, monitoring, alerting and are excited to apply these principles within the team
