Senior GIS Developer

Job Overview:

• A minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience
• Expertise in geospatial software including the ESRI ARCGIS Suite, Python, QGIS, JavaScript, VB
• Familiarity with .NET, FME, Python, Postgres SQL, and C Shell scripting
• The applicant should have experience in advanced GIS technologies, specifically with ESRI tools, JavaScript API for ArcGIS, Python API for ArcGIS, geospatial web development, and FME
• Experience in a development capacity with a thorough understanding of programming languages, particularly Arc Objects
• Proficiency in .NET and Python
• Ability to create scripts and models utilizing QGIS Model Builder, Python scripting, or other process automation tools
• Strong capabilities in crafting SQL queries, procedures, triggers, and functions

Core Responsibilities:

• In-depth knowledge of the ESRI product suite, including ArcMap, JavaScript, and VB
• Experience with .NET role-based systems, active directory core services, and dashboard development
• Utilization of Python with ESRI's arcpy module, QGIS module, and AWS technology to develop script tools for efficient batch processing and large-scale data conversions
• Creating QGIS plugins with a C-based UI, requiring comprehensive full-stack development skills
• Development of shell scripting applications designed for desktop environments
• Implementation of shell scripting and Python programming applications based on web API requirements for process automation
• Creation of VBA scripts aimed at process automation
• Enhancing and refining functional processes for new initiatives
• Debugging various web applications for daily use and optimizing them for specific processes
• Generating video reference materials and crafting newsletters for distribution
• Developing HTML-based pages for Confluence
• Troubleshooting Source Catalogue issues related to raster tile generation and FME workbench development
• Build and sustain robust professional relationships with clients, partners, and affiliates across diverse geographical regions
• Continuously seek improvements in operations, reduce turnaround times, streamline workflows, and work collaboratively to ensure seamless customer service
• Provide daily progress reports to clients and management
• Clearly articulate technical challenges and solutions to audiences with varying technical expertise and produce comprehensive user documentation, training materials, and technical segments of project proposals

Technical Specifications:

• Core competencies in Energy, Oil & Gas domains, particularly in Upstream GIS Technology, Geographical Information Systems (GIS) Consultancy, and Spatial Databases
• Preferred knowledge of Microsoft Technologies
• Familiarity with .NET Frameworks and C/C# technologies
