Senior Full Stack Java Engineer

As a Senior Integration Engineer, you will be responsible for driving the design and implementation of integration components that connect Loan IQ with both upstream and downstream systems.

Your role will involve leading technical execution within your team, mentoring intermediate developers, and utilizing modern AI-assisted development tools alongside cloud-native patterns to boost productivity, code quality, scalability, and delivery speed.

• Lead the design and development of REST APIs and messaging interfaces
• Create reusable UI components and frontend frameworks that adhere to enterprise standards
• Ensure code quality through oversight, conduct peer reviews, and uphold integration best practices
• Collaborate with QA and BA/Product Owner on comprehensive solutions
• Contribute to the setup of CI/CD processes and release management
• Troubleshoot issues and optimize performance across interfaces
• Design and implement cloud-native integrations utilizing Azure services and serverless patterns
• Use AI-assisted development tools to expedite coding, testing, and debugging workflows
• Advocate for AI-based engineering practices and cloud best practices within the team

Mandatory Skills

• 8+ years of backend development experience, preferably within the financial services sector
• Proficient in APIs and data models is required
• Expertise in Java, Spring Boot, REST, and Kafka / MQ
• Proficiency in React, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS
• Robust integration experience with core banking or lending platforms
• Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab)
• Cloud & Architecture:
• Practical experience with Microsoft Azure services
• Experience in constructing serverless solutions using Azure Functions
• Thorough understanding of cloud-native architecture and integration patterns (e.g., event-driven, microservices, API-led connectivity)
• Familiarity with messaging and integration services on Azure (e.g., Service Bus, Event Grid) is advantageous
• AI-Assisted Development:
• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted coding tools (e.g., GitLab Copilot, IDE-based copilots)
• Knowledge of utilizing generative AI tools for code generation, unit testing, debugging, and documentation
• Ability to responsibly apply AI tools to enhance developer productivity and code quality while maintaining governance and standards

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., GitLab, Jenkins)
• Familiarity with Loan IQ integration
