Senior Engineer - Software Test

Job Description

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

• Plan and perform functional, non-functional, integration, and security testing activities for cloud-based software applications.
• Verify device-to-cloud communication as well as data integrity, scalability, reliability, and security across distributed IoT environments.
• Examine and evaluate product requirements and technical design documentation to determine testing scope and surface quality risks.
• Create test strategies, test plans, test scenarios, test cases, and test data aligned to business requirements and risk analysis.
• Build, develop, maintain, and continuously improve automated testing frameworks and scripts.
• Run manual and automated test cases, assess outcomes, and share quality status with key stakeholders.
• Detect, document, and track software defects, and provide support to drive resolution across the development lifecycle.
• Maintain test documentation, metrics, reports, and complete release readiness assessments.
• Take part in automation code reviews and help establish best practices that improve test maintainability and effectiveness.
• Partner closely with software engineers, product owners, and cross-functional engineering teams to support successful product delivery.
• Lead ongoing enhancements to testing methodologies, tools, processes, and quality standards.
• Work effectively with both local and remote teams across multiple geographic locations and time zones.

For This Role, You Will Need:

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Electronics, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in software testing, including strong hands-on automation testing expertise.
• Experience testing web-based applications across functional and non-functional areas.
• Capability to develop and execute test strategies, test plans, and quality reporting processes.
• Hands-on experience with automation frameworks such as Selenium or Playwright.
• Working knowledge of programming or scripting languages such as Java or C#.
• Knowledge of IoT communication technologies and protocols, including OPC UA, Modbus, and TCP.
• Experience using Azure DevOps for Agile tracking, defect management, and test management.
• Hands-on experience performing API testing with Postman and REST Assured.
• Experience working with Microsoft Azure cloud platforms.
• Understanding of containerization technologies and concepts.
• Relevant professional experience in software testing, automation, and quality engineering.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:

• Experience applying cybersecurity-focused software development lifecycle (SDLC) practices and secure testing techniques.
• Knowledge of IEC 62443 cybersecurity standards.
• Hands-on experience testing cloud-based digital twin applications.
• Experience with industrial automation systems, Industrial IoT environments, or connected device ecosystems.
• Experience working in globally distributed Agile development teams.
