Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Circuit Design and Implementation:
  • Design and implement low-power analog circuits (e.g., op-amps, filters, power, BJTs, FETs) and digital circuits (logic, C, memories).
  • Conduct circuit tolerance analysis using tools such as Excel, Spice-based Monte-Carlo analysis, TINA, or equivalent.
  1. Hazardous Location Compliant Design:
  • Select electronic components and design PCBs in compliance with railway and industrial standards (IEC, EN, UL, CE) for intrinsic safety, functional safety, and EMI/EMC standards.
  1. Design Modifications and Issue Resolution:
  • Analyze designs and modify them to address End of Life (EOL), manufacturing, or customer-related issues.
  1. Hardware Testing and Debugging:
  • Bring up boards and execute low-level hardware tests to ensure designs meet target specifications.
  • Use various test equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, DMMs, logic analyzers) to debug boards and resolve issues.
  1. Test Plans and Reports:
  • Generate test plans and reports for electrical and environmental testing to ensure product compliance and performance.
  1. Fabrication Support:
  • Assist with the fabrication process, including procurement, assembly, and testing of prototype hardware.
  1. Design Verification:
  • Perform or oversee design verification tests to confirm that designs meet specifications and standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Educational Qualification:
  • B. Tech / B. E in Electronics, Electronics and Communication, or Electronics & Telecommunication.
  • Experience:
  • 7-9 years of experience exclusively in electronics design and development, particularly in industrial product design.
  • Technical Skills:
  1. Industry Background: Experience in industrial product design and development involving electronics circuits.
  2. CAD & Simulation Tools: Proficiency with CAD schematic capture, PCB layout tools, and circuit simulation tools.
  3. Circuit Design: Strong experience with low-power analog (op-amps, filters, power, BJTs, FETs) and digital circuits (logic, C, memories).
  4. Compliance Knowledge: Knowledge of hazardous location compliant design and standards (IEC, EN, UL, CE), with a focus on intrinsic safety, functional safety, and EMI/EMC.
  5. Testing and Debugging: Ability to bring up boards and perform hardware testing using various test equipment, including oscilloscopes, DMMs, and logic analyzers.
  6. Simulation Tools: Proficiency with Spice-based Monte-Carlo analysis, TINA, and equivalent tools.
