Position Summary:

The Software Engineer will be accountable to the Technical Lead and will be an integral member of the feature delivery team. This position focuses on implementing enhancements driven by business needs, addressing long-term change requests, resolving production defects, and executing technical improvements across back-office and trading-related applications. Strong full-stack development skills are essential, along with the ability to work autonomously in an Agile/Kanban setup.

Experience in financial services, particularly in trade flow and post-trade processes, is highly desirable. The ideal candidate will possess hands-on expertise in C#, .NET Framework, backend services, SQL/Oracle databases, and production debugging. Familiarity with Python, ETL, and data lake concepts will be advantageous for automation, reporting, and data-driven enhancements.

This role necessitates close collaboration within the team and regular engagement with business users.

Required Skills: .NET Framework, C#, Python (preferred), Entity Framework, Services, Oracle/SQL Server.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Aligning with MBCL goals and adhering to best practices.

• Contributing to the technical delivery of the feature team, ensuring the provision of high-quality and timely solutions.

• Participating in the evolution of the MBCL enterprise architecture to ensure that the current technical stack and future direction are aligned.

• Engaging in technical governance activities to uphold standards and best practices.

The candidate should possess the following skills and qualifications:

• Proficient in log analysis and exception handling
• Able to understand, enhance, and maintain existing applications, including legacy systems
• Self-motivated and capable of working with limited documentation
• Experience with Azure, Git, CI/CD, BDD, and other DevOps practices, including Octopus auto deployment to streamline the development lifecycle.
• Capable of working in a fully agile environment with familiarity in the Kanban approach
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with team members and stakeholders.

Prior experience in the finance industry, particularly in commodity trading or BFSI, is preferred.
