Senior Database Administrator

We are seeking a Senior Database Administrator to oversee, enhance, and secure our data platforms across hybrid environments. You will work with SQL Server (on-premises and cloud), Snowflake, and Azure SQL, ensuring dependable operations, strong performance, and scalable growth while enabling key strategic data initiatives.

Key Responsibilities 

• Track and resolve database performance issues using tools such as SolarWinds DPA, Dynatrace, etc. 
• Provision, upgrade, and maintain SQL Server and Snowflake infrastructure. 
• Manage ETL pipelines using Bryteflow, SQL Change Tracking, Replication, dbt, Tidal, and Airflow. 
• Support more than 100 SQL Server and Azure SQL instances across multiple environments. 
• Optimize queries, recommend schema improvements, and address resource contention. 
• Automate routine database maintenance, administer backups/restores, and update statistics and indexes. 
• Handle incidents, change requests, and release coordination with QA, development, and business teams. 
• Develop and support BI & integration solutions including SSAS, SSIS, SSRS, and Transact-SQL. 
• Drive initiatives for database cost management, migration, disaster recovery, and resilience planning. 

Required Skills & Experience 

• 7+ years of DBA experience with MS SQL Server (2016+), Azure SQL, and Snowflake. 
• Demonstrated skill in performance tuning and high-transaction environments. 
• Experience operating hybrid environments and supporting mission-critical production systems. 
• Knowledge of version control systems (TFS, Git). 
• Strong abilities in documentation, troubleshooting, and teamwork. 

Preferred Qualifications 

• Relevant certifications such as SnowPro Core, Azure DBA Associate, MCTS, or MCITP. 
• Familiarity with SSAS, data warehousing, PowerShell scripting, Python, networking, and VMs. 
• Experience using Delphix or comparable data virtualization tools. 
• Prior experience in financial services settings. 
• Knowledge of SAN storage, Active Directory, and cloud migration methods. 

Education 

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
