Senior Backend Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Java-based backend applications for banking services and products.
• Optimize applications for maximum performance and scalability while ensuring security compliance.
• Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from analysis and design to testing and deployment.
• Respond to service disruptions/incidents as part of our internal incident procedures.
• Ensure accurate and timely completion of all projects and requests.
• Adaptive, flexible and have a focus on innovation. 

Skills and Experience

• 8+ years of experience in development domain particularly java tech stack
• Strong hands-on experience in Java/J2EE, Web Services, XML
• Should have good understanding of DevOps tools and unit test framework.
• Experience in migrating applications to CI/CD pipeline using tools like GIT/BitBucket, Jenkins, Jira, Ansible, Rundeck
• Well-versed with Agile methodology and global delivery model.
• Understanding of Object Orient Programming and Functional Programming paradigm.
• Understanding on HTTP and RESTFul API's
• Good to have experience in moving application to AWS cloud.
• Good to have hands-on experience in Python, Ansible, Shell scripts and tools like ELK Working experience in cloud computing, PaaS and IaaS, Docker, and Containerization
• Excellent communication skills.
