Security Consultant

Key Roles & Responsibilities

• Understand the customer requirement and provide proper solutioning
• Gain proper understanding of technologies such as Firewall, SASE/SSE, IPS/IDS, WAF, Load Balancers
• Configure the above-mentioned devices in customer environment as per the defined scope
• Build and run test cases
• Assist in setup of devices in production environment
• Troubleshoot issues related to products/devices in pre- and post-production environment
• Contribute to documentation including SOPs, test reports, configuration guides, and implementation plans
• Follow project guidelines and maintain delivery timelines
• Collaborate with team members to create a healthy technical and non-technical environment
• Achieve a decent customer satisfaction level and contribute to its enhancement

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (BE / B.Tech / MCA or equivalent)
• 3–5 years of hands-on experience in configuration of different network security products, validation, and troubleshooting
• Strong technical knowledge of any or all of the following technologies:
• NGFW platforms: Palo Alto, Cisco FTD, FortiGate, Check Point
• IPS/IDS platforms: Palo Alto, Cisco FTD, FortiGate, Tipping Point
• WAF platforms: Imperva, F5, FortiWeb
• Load Balancer platforms: F5, Citrix, FortiADC

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional certifications such as:
• Cisco: CCNA, CCNP (Security)
• Palo Alto: PCNSA, PCNSE
• Fortinet: NSE-1, NSE-2, NSE-3, NSE-4
• F5: F5 Certified Administrator
