Responsibilities:

• Act as an active team member in testing of functionality, and in the creation and execution of efficient test suites.
• Write clean, well-structured, and maintainable code in PHP and/or TypeScript in Node.js and/or write clean, well-structured, and maintainable code in TypeScript in Angular.
• Work on projects within a few areas of the product under the guidance of architects and lead engineers to ensure cohesive and integrated solutions.
• Independently define, design, and communicate most work within the team, effectively articulating technical solutions and strategies.
• Actively participate in code (both test code and production code) and design reviews.
• Participate in initiatives for process improvement, enhancing team efficiency and effectiveness.
• Keep up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies.
• Write and maintain technical documentation.
• Participate actively in Agile/Scrum teams to ensure effective project execution.

Requirements:

• 3 to 5+ years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on test engineering.
• Experience in at least 2 of: Unit Testing, API Integration Testing, Synthetic User Testing using a variety of tools and frameworks.
• Some experience in Github Actions, Jenkins, and/or similar CI/CD tooling.
• Proficiency in using SQL to query and validate data.
• Proficient in PHP or TypeScript in Node.js or Angular, and any other relevant technologies.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with other departments and stakeholders.
• A self-starter with a passion for technology and innovation.
• General awareness of modern process best practices (Agile, Scrum, Kanban, etc.).
• Openness to pragmatic approaches and willingness to challenge conventional best practices to achieve success.

Desired Skills:

• Willingness to modify / update production code as necessary to ensure testability.
• Willingness to work in legacy PHP, Python, Javascript+Node.js codebases as necessary.
• Willingness to help backfill unit tests around legacy codebases as needed.
