Job Overview:

• A minimum of 8 years of experience in a software product development environment
• Expertise in creating modern, scalable big data solutions
• At least 5 years of hands-on experience in Scala backend programming
• Proficient in frameworks such as Akka, Apache Pekko, and Play
• Comprehensive understanding of functional programming concepts and implementations including Try
• Option, Future, Monad, and Collections
• Solid grasp of Object-Oriented Programming concepts, including Classes, Traits, Objects, Singleton, and
• Companion and Case Classes
• Thorough understanding of Scala language features, including Type System and Implicit Givens
• Familiarity with Scala 3 syntax
• Experience with MVC architecture and knowledge of frameworks like Akka, Apache
• Pekko Play 2
• Play 3
• Writing test cases using testing frameworks such as Scalatest and working with configuration
• files like HOCON
• Experience in creating RESTful microservices, preferably utilizing Play as an
• MVC framework
• Extensive knowledge in application development using Elasticsearch and Kafka
• messaging
• Experience with both NoSQL and SQL databases, particularly familiar with Cassandra
• Proficiency in Hadoop technologies and big data processing tools such as
• Spark, YARN, HDFS, Oozie, and Hive
• Experience in developing low-latency, high-transaction services

• Additionally, you will mentor team members, create a vision for the team, and provide subject matter training in your areas of expertise, motivating and inspiring team members through timely feedback and recognition for exceptional performance
• You will play a crucial role in unit-level and organizational initiatives aimed at delivering high-quality, value-added consulting solutions to clients while adhering to organizational guidelines and processes

Technical Requirements:

• Core skills include Technology Functional Programming and Scala, along with Java and Apache technologies
