Robotic Process Automation Testing Consultant

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement comprehensive test strategies for RPA solutions encompassing design, build, deployment, and post-release validation.
• Formulate thorough test plans, test cases, and traceability that align with business processes, bot workflows, and control requirements.
• Conduct functional regression, integration, and UAT support testing for bots developed using leading RPA tools.
• Assess bot stability across different environments, schedules, queues, credentials, and exceptional handling and recovery scenarios.
• Automate test execution when feasible, leveraging modern automation testing methodologies and frameworks.
• Work alongside RPA developers to identify defects, carry out root cause analysis, and ensure timely resolution with clear documentation.
• Maintain version control rigor and review changes via GitHub workflows to facilitate controlled releases.
• Support CI/CD aligned testing practices by integrating test assets, results, and quality gates into delivery pipelines.
• Generate clear test reports, quality metrics, and release readiness recommendations for stakeholders.
• Guide junior testers and consultants, contributing to reusable test accelerators, templates, and best practices.

Technical Qualifications:

• Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience with significant exposure to testing RPA solutions and automation-driven workflows.
• Practical experience with RPA tools and testing bot logic, exception handling, and process outcomes.
• Comprehensive understanding of automation testing principles, including test design, defect lifecycle, and regression strategy.
• Competence with at least one RPA platform such as UI Path, Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism, or Power Automate.
• Experience utilizing GitHub for version control, collaboration, and release tracking.

Additional Qualifications:

• Desirable skills include UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Power Automate, CI/CD, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, SQL, API Testing, Postman, GenAI, and GitHub Copilot.
