Job Description

Role & Responsibilities

Sourcing and Business Generation

  • Identify and scope business opportunities in the geographical market for farming and rural communities.
  • Source proposals from individual farmers, co-operative societies, rural mandis, Kissan clubs, and farmer producer organizations.
  • Conduct marketing activities to generate new business.
  • Work on productivity benchmarks for portfolio growth.

Market Updates and Product Awareness

  • Stay updated on market trends, process requirements, competition, and customer banking behavior.
  • Understand changing market dynamics and propose amendments in product offerings.
  • Keep abreast of state government laws and policies relevant to the Agri sector.

Relationship Building and Maintenance

  • Liaise with new and existing customers to strengthen relationships.
  • Engage with agro centers, rural mandis, Kisan clubs, and rural markets to deepen relationships.
  • Address customer complaints within the stipulated TAT.

Delinquency Management, Rotation & Recovery, Housekeeping

  • Work to minimize delinquency in the portfolio.
  • Follow up with customers for recovery and monitor account rotations.
  • Ensure timely submission of required documents (LAD, CAM, etc.) and support legal/remedial teams when necessary.
  • Maintain housekeeping parameters under control.

Farmer Education and Capacity Building

  • Conduct village-level meetings to educate farmers on banking products, crop insurance, debt waivers, government subsidies, and digital tools for improved farm productivity.

Increased Penetration and Cross-Sell

  • Cross-sell other banking assets and liability products.
  • Promote digital platforms such as NetBanking, Mobile Banking, PayZapp, Insta Alert, Smart Buy, Chillr, etc.

Training and Development of Supporting Staff

  • Utilize sales resources (HBL/SO) effectively to support sales operations.
  • Groom supporting staff through regular training and performance counseling.
