R&D Head

Mantras2success Consultants is seeking a dynamic and visionary R&D Head for our LED TV division. This critical leadership role is responsible for spearheading innovation, driving comprehensive product development, and significantly enhancing manufacturing capabilities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of current market trends, emerging technologies, and evolving customer requirements. You will play a pivotal role in aligning product innovation with crucial cost optimization and stringent quality assurance throughout the entire product lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• New Product Development: Lead the end-to-end R&D lifecycle for LED TV products, from initial concept generation through to successful commercialization, ensuring alignment with customer requirements and prevailing market needs.
• Innovation & Technology Integration: Identify and strategically integrate emerging technologies and innovations into product design and manufacturing processes to continuously improve efficiency, performance, and overall user experience.
• Market Intelligence: Stay consistently abreast of global LED TV trends, competitor benchmarks, and new product launches to ensure our offerings remain cutting-edge and ahead of the curve.
• Production Support: Provide essential technical and design support to on-floor production teams to ensure seamless product rollouts and efficiently resolve any technical bottlenecks that may arise.
• Manufacturing Process Optimization: Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to continuously improve manufacturing processes, reduce cycle time, and drive significant cost reductions without compromising on quality.
• Customer Collaboration: Work closely with clients/OEMs for new product co-development initiatives, product customizations, and deliver impactful technical presentations during both pre-sales and development phases.
• Product Testing & Reliability: Oversee stringent product validation processes, including comprehensive reliability testing, quality benchmarking, and ensuring full compliance with national and international standards.
• Quality & Cost Focus: Drive strategic initiatives to enhance overall product quality while simultaneously identifying impactful cost-saving opportunities through design innovation, material substitution, or process improvements.
• Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing R&D team, fostering a vibrant culture of innovation, strong ownership, and continuous improvement.

Required Experience & Skills

• Experience: Significant years of experience in R&D, preferably within the LED TV, display technologies, or broader consumer electronics industry.
• Track Record: Proven track record of successfully leading new product development and achieving successful product launches in ODM/OEM environments.
• Technical Understanding: Strong understanding of LED TV architecture, electronics, display modules, and complex system integration.
• Testing Expertise: Expertise in reliability and environmental testing, rigorous design validation, and comprehensive quality assurance.
• Stakeholder Interface: Demonstrated ability to interface effectively and build strong relationships with customers, vendors, and various cross-functional teams.
• Cost Management: Hands-on experience with cost analysis, BOM (Bill of Materials) optimization, and design for manufacturability (DFM) principles.
• Leadership: Possess a strategic mindset combined with strong project management and exceptional leadership capabilities.
