Manipal Hospitals, Kharadi, Pune, is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CT/MRI Technician to join our Radiology team. The CT/MRI Technician will be responsible for performing high-quality computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) examinations, ensuring patient safety, and providing excellent patient care. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in radiologic technology, specialized training in CT and MRI procedures, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient imaging environment.

Roles & Responsibilities
The CT/MRI Technician will be responsible for:
- Patient Preparation and Care:
- Verifying patient identity, medical history, and physician orders prior to the examination.
- Explaining the CT and/or MRI procedures to patients, addressing their questions and concerns, and providing clear instructions.
- Positioning patients correctly on the examination table and using immobilization devices as needed to ensure optimal image quality and patient comfort.
- Monitoring patients' vital signs and comfort during the examination, and recognizing and responding to any adverse reactions or emergencies.
- Ensuring patient safety by adhering to radiation safety protocols and MRI safety guidelines.
- Image Acquisition and Processing:
- Operating CT and MRI scanners to acquire high-quality diagnostic images according to established protocols and physician specifications.
- Selecting appropriate imaging parameters, such as slice thickness, contrast administration, and pulse sequences, to optimize image quality and minimize radiation exposure.
- Administering contrast agents, when indicated, under the supervision of a radiologist and following established protocols.
- Processing and reconstructing acquired images using specialized software.
- Evaluating images for technical quality, artifacts, and anatomical coverage, and making adjustments as necessary.
- Equipment Operation and Maintenance:
- Performing routine maintenance and calibration of CT and MRI equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Troubleshooting and resolving minor equipment malfunctions, and reporting any major issues to the appropriate personnel.
- Maintaining a clean and organized work environment, including the examination room and control room.
- Ensuring the availability of necessary supplies and equipment.
- Quality Control and Assurance:
- Performing quality control procedures to ensure the accuracy and reliability of CT and MRI examinations.
- Maintaining accurate records of patient examinations, equipment maintenance, and quality control data.
- Participating in quality assurance programs and initiatives to improve imaging protocols and patient care.
- Adhering to all hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements related to radiology services.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Collaborating with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Communicating effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Providing radiologists with relevant clinical information and image interpretations.
- Professional Development:
- Staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in CT and MRI technology and techniques.
- Participating in continuing education programs and professional organizations.
