Quality Assurance Specialist

Overview

AtkinsRéalis is currently looking for a CANDU Quality Specialist to contribute to the execution of exceptional nuclear projects within the global CANDU portfolio.

In this role, reporting to the Quality function, you will deliver independent quality assurance oversight to ensure that engineering and project activities comply with nuclear regulatory standards, customer obligations, and the CANDU Quality Assurance Program.

Your involvement will be crucial in enhancing the quality culture, ensuring compliance, managing quality risks, and guaranteeing the objective evidence, traceability, and governance necessary for safe, reliable, and Right First-Time project delivery in a highly regulated nuclear setting.

Your Role

Nuclear Quality Assurance

• Assist in the implementation and ongoing enhancement of the CANDU Quality Assurance Program.
• Ensure adherence to regulatory, customer, project, and management system standards.
• Aid in the creation and execution of project Quality Assurance Plans and quality oversight methodologies.
• Deliver independent quality assurance support throughout engineering and project delivery processes.
• Foster a robust Nuclear Safety Culture and Quality Culture within project teams.
• Engineering Quality
• Oversee quality assurance for design and engineering activities.
• Confirm compliance with design control, verification, validation, and configuration management criteria.
• Facilitate quality reviews and evaluations of engineering outputs and documentation.
• Identify quality risks and drive prompt resolution of quality issues.
• Maintain objective evidence to validate compliance with project and regulatory standards.
  
  

Audit, Compliance and Continuous Improvement

• Execute audits, surveillances, and compliance evaluations.
• Support inspections by customers, regulatory bodies, and third parties.
• Manage quality issues, non-conformances, and corrective actions until effective resolution.
• Lead root cause analyses and lessons learned initiatives.
