Quality Assurance Analyst

The Quality Assurance Analyst primary responsibilities include software testing design, planning, scripting and test execution for a variety of enterprise applications. He/She will also be responsible to mentor and train new hires.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Performs product test script design, development, execution and maintenance for single product modules/sub-systems or lower level issues on multiple products.
• Implement high level architectural solutions for the test automation framework.
• Design system level functions to organize the scripts and improve the development life cycle.
• Conduct integration and regression testing.
• Submit defects based on execution of test plan, bug verification, release testing,
• Participate in troubleshooting and triaging of issues with different Dev and QA teams to drive towards root cause identification and resolution.
• The individual will work closely with developers, project managers and other stakeholders throughout the SDLC, executing test iterations, tracking / reporting results, troubleshooting and coordinating defect resolution.
• Perform automated testing cycles using (primarily) Selenium.
• Research and analysis of new QA automation methodologies.
• Mentor and train software automation engineers.

Report to Software Development Manager/Manager, Quality Assurance.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

MS in Computer Science or MIS or BS in Computer Science or B. Tech

2+ yrs of experience in automation testing tools like Selenium (primary),

Required Skills:

• Relevant work experience in functional/automation development and/or testing role.
• Experience in architecting and building test automation framework, preferably for testing large-scale microservices solutions (Keyword/Data driven/ Hybrid, Cucumber BDD , Page Object Model, etc)
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Expert in parallel executions to minimize regression time
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Expert in Selenium, Maven, TestNG and Webservices automation.
• Excellent scripting skills (preferably Java and Python)
• Expert in API testing (Postman, Soap)
• Technical background and an understanding of Enterprise applications especially used in Discrete Manufacturing Industry.
• Expert in migrating/integrating scripts to new frameworks.
• Experience in test and script lifecycle management in JIRA
• Experience in working in Agile model.
• Experience in CI/CD tools like Jenkins
• Expert in Gitlab, Eclipse IDE, Inteli J
• Experience in MSSQL queries
• Must be flexible, independent and self-motivated
