Job Profile:
The incumbent would be responsible for the following:
1. Quality Control & Assurance
- Controlling and Assuring the Quality of Final Product of Articulate trucks
- Monitoring operations to ensure their alignment with specified production standards (accept / reject criteria)
- Ensuring the Inspection of the final product as per specifications and applicable standards and provide approval for dispatch
- Accepting or rejecting finalized products
- Monitoring and communicating inspection outcomes with responsible team members, as well as higher authorities, if required
2. Inspection and Test procedures
- Preparing of Inspection and Test procedures
- Reading and understanding specifications and blueprint
- Developing quality check points and inspection plans within the manufacturing process. Knowledge on process/Inspection automation/digitization
3. Repair analysis & Defect elimination
- Repair analysis & Defect elimination in final product
- Product that does not meet desired specifications are held and either reworked or scrapped
- Recommending changes in the manufacturing process as required
4. Continuous quality improvement
- Being able to use inspection equipment, tapes/rulers, calipers, micrometers, gauges, digital tools and techniques
- Recommending and driving creation of digital inspection set-ups and data analysis systems for CTQ (Critical to Quality) points
- Driving Continuous quality improvement through evaluation and recommendation of new techniques of measurement and manufacturing processes
5. Organizational Imperatives
- Conducting safety audits in the department
- Actively participating and originating Kaizens
