QA Engineer (Perl+ Linux)

What You'll Do:

• Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts.
• Collaborate with developers and test engineers to define test strategies and requirements.
• Create and manage test data for automation purposes.
• Analyze test results, identify defects, and ensure resolution in collaboration with development teams.
• Enhance existing automation frameworks and recommend improvements.
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins or CloudBees).
• Monitor test execution and report progress, risks, and test coverage.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in test automation.

Expertise You'll Bring:

• 5+ years of experience in software test automation.
• Proficiency with Linux systems and command-line utilities and shell scripts (bash)
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Perl, Python, Ruby).
• Hands-on experience with test automation tools.
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g. Subversion, Git).
• Experience working with and Agile methodologies.
• Experience with API testing using tools like Postman or REST Assured
• Knowledge and hands-on experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL).
• Bachelors degree in computer science, Engineering (BE/B.Tech preferred), or a related field. Master degree is a plus.
• Experience with Docker and Puppet
• Knowledge of cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
• ISTQB or other relevant certifications.
