QA Analyst / Test Engineer (P&C Claims)

We are in search of a meticulous and seasoned Insurance QA Analyst / Test Engineer with robust knowledge in Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance and Claims Management processes. The successful candidate will possess hands-on experience in validating comprehensive insurance workflows, encompassing Policy Administration, Underwriting, Claims, Billing, Endorsements, and Renewals. This position necessitates exceptional functional testing skills, a strong understanding of business processes, and the capability to collaborate efficiently with cross-functional teams within an Agile framework.

Key Responsibilities

Evaluate business requirements, functional specifications, and user stories to formulate thorough test strategies and plans.

Develop, execute, and sustain detailed test scenarios, cases, and data for P&C Insurance applications.

Validate comprehensive insurance business processes, including:

Policy Issuance

Underwriting

Policy Endorsements

Policy Renewals

Claims Intake and Claims Processing

Billing and Payments

Conduct Functional Testing, System Integration Testing (SIT), Regression Testing, and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities.

Implement test cycles, document outcomes, and ensure sufficient business and functional coverage.

Identify, log, track, and retest defects while working with development teams to ensure timely resolution.

Verify integrations between insurance systems and external applications.

Engage in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog grooming, and retrospectives.

Work closely with business analysts, product owners, developers, and stakeholders to guarantee quality deliverables.

Supply testing metrics, status updates, and risk assessments to project stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.

A minimum of 3+ years of experience in Functional Testing of Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance applications.

Strong comprehension of P&C Insurance business processes:

Policy Administration

Underwriting

Claims Management

Billing

Endorsements

Renewals

Practical experience in:

Functional Testing

System Integration Testing (SIT)

Regression Testing

UAT Support

Extensive experience in test case design, test execution, defect management, and reporting.

Ability to analyze business requirements and convert them into effective test scenarios and cases.

Experience working within Agile/Scrum delivery environments.

Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Qualifications / Good-to-Have Skills

Experience with Guidewire applications, including:

PolicyCenter

ClaimCenter

BillingCenter

Experience with Guidewire implementation, transformation, migration, or upgrade projects.

Guidewire certification is advantageous.
