We are seeking a skilled Purchase Engineer to join our dynamic team in India. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement and supplier management, ensuring that our purchasing processes are efficient and cost-effective.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure quality and timely delivery of materials.
• Negotiate prices and contracts with vendors to achieve cost savings.
• Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their capabilities.
• Analyze purchase requisitions and prepare purchase orders for materials and equipment.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure material specifications are met.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist in inventory management to avoid shortages or excess stock.

Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• 2-8 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Proficient in using procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Understanding of supply chain processes and inventory management.
• Ability to analyze data and make informed purchasing decisions.
• Familiarity with quality control standards and supplier evaluation metrics.
