Project/Program Manager IT

Overview
This on-site position based in Chennai, India, is focused on the direction and management of IT infrastructure projects. The incumbent will be tasked with creating project charters, communication strategies, governance metrics, and monitoring risks. This role necessitates the simultaneous management of various projects, guiding teams through each project phase, and ensuring timely and successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Establish and oversee project charters, communication strategies, governance metrics, and risk management plans for IT infrastructure initiatives.
• Simultaneously manage multiple projects and lead teams through the initiation, planning, execution, and closure phases.
• Manage project budgets and project spending forecasts.
• Ensure effective stakeholder management and provide regular updates on project progress.
• Identify and resolve issues, removing obstacles to meet project objectives.
• Gather and convey the Voice of the Customer (VOC), Voice of Business (VOB), and Critical Customer Requirements (CCR) to create a detailed Work Breakdown Structure (WBS).
• Independently lead substantial and diverse program or project planning sessions.
• Adapt project plans to accommodate shifting business requirements.

• Experience managing vendor relationships.
• Prior involvement in information technology projects.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the capability to engage effectively with all management levels.
• Proficient problem-solving abilities.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant work experience.
• 2-4 years of hands-on project management experience.
• Strong technical/networking skills are advantageous.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification is preferred.
• Experience in procurement is a plus.
• Robust business acumen along with risk management and issue resolution capabilities.
