Job Description
- Core Responsibilities:
- Project Engineering & Execution:
- Manage and execute DCS/PLC upgrade, migration, rip-and-replace projects for Honeywell's installed base.
- Ensure detailed and accurate BOM (Bill of Materials) preparation.
- Collect site data, input gathering, and C-KOM process for project execution.
- Documentation & Engineering:
- Prepare essential project documentation, including FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing), HDM/SDM/FDS (High-Level Design/Software Design/Functional Design Specification) documents.
- Interpret and engineer systems based on IO index, P&ID, C&E matrix, HAZOP, and other inputs.
- Work with DCS/PLC/SCADA systems, including hardware, engineering, and architecture.
- Factory & Site Coordination:
- Coordinate with the factory for panel manufacturing and ensure timely completion.
- Responsible for pre-FAT and FAT testing, performing demos for the customer and obtaining sign-off.
- Ensure standardization of engineering processes and maintain quality checks on deliverables.
- Project Management & Communication:
- Communicate regularly with customers/consultants for project correspondences and coordination.
- Work closely with the Project Manager to drive the project in line with revenue, billing, and cash collection plans.
- Lead site closure activities in accordance with Honeywell's internal processes and standards.
- Vendor & Contractor Management:
- Manage vendor selection, purchase requisitions (PR), purchase orders (PO), and follow up on delivery timelines.
- Prepare Contractor Statements of Work (SOW) to ensure clear project expectations.
- On-Site Execution:
- Travel to customer sites as needed (approximately 30-40% of the time).
- Collaborate with I&C (Instrumentation & Control) teams to execute project deliverables.
- Compliance & Safety:
- Adhere to ISO, HSE, and internal processes throughout project execution.
- Additional Skills & Knowledge:
- System Knowledge: Exposure to TPS/TDC3000 and EPKS C200/C300 systems is a plus.
- Change Orders/Service Orders: Achieve and manage change orders or service orders for out-of-scope jobs.
- Offshore Experience: Experience working on offshore platforms is an added advantage. The engineer should be ready for offshore travel as required.
- Required Travel:
- 30-40% of the time for on-site visits and offshore platform assignments.
