Job Description
Job Description:
- Own full end-to-end accountability for Oracle ERP implementation rollout, upgrade, migration, separation, or modernization programs across Oracle E Business Suite and/or Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP
- Develop and govern the integrated master plan, managing interdependencies across functional workstreams including technical data integrations, testing, environment, security, reporting, change, deployment, and hypercare
- Lead proposal shaping, solution reviews, estimation, staffing, delivery model design, transition planning, mobilization, key assumptions, and establish a credible baseline
- Govern team structure, scope, schedule, budget, quality, RAID decisions, change control, contractual commitments, and readiness across design, test cycles, mock conversions, cutover, go-live, and stabilization—coordinating across all tracks
- Partner with the team to convert incomplete or conflicting inputs into well-defined hypotheses, decision options, named owners, and time-bound actions; clearly distinguish reversible decisions from high-impact design choices
- Detect cross-track and business impacts early, evaluate critical path constraints, and drive fact-based trade-offs aligned to targeted program outcomes
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain a single source of truth for assumptions, decisions, risks, dependencies, and change requests—escalate with the right context, impact, recommendation, and required decision
- Lead recovery efforts for troubled workstreams through root cause analysis, re-planning, capacity correction, and outcome-based checkpoints
- Collaborate with client business and IT leadership, including onshore leadership, architects, product owners, Oracle, and external/third-party partners to ensure seamless execution
- Ensure mutual accountability and transparency by managing interdependencies, decision impact, and timely execution
- Lead a multi-location, multi-vendor team by defining clear accountabilities, handoffs, and operating cadence—while preserving end-to-end ownership across organizational boundaries
- Coach track leads and managers to strengthen succession and capability; build a culture of transparency, engineering discipline, continuous improvement, and respectful challenge
Technical Requirements:
- Communicate a concise executive narrative covering outcomes, value, progress, risks, decisions, and recovery actions without concealing unresolved issues
- Navigate and negotiate through changes to maintain program success parameters and objectives on track
- Apply fit-for-purpose Agile, hybrid, and stage-gated delivery methods while maintaining disciplined controls for ERP design, configuration, build, test, conversion, and release
- Use AI-assisted methods for knowledge discovery, requirements traceability, risk sensing, test case and defect analysis, document summarization, and operational insights—supported by human review and enterprise security controls
- Identify automation opportunities across PMO reporting, reconciliation, regression testing, deployment evidence, and service transition; measure realized adoption and productivity impact
- Ensure responsible AI usage with approved data boundaries, access controls, validation, provenance, bias and error checks; prevent unsupported decisions based solely on generated output
- Ability to understand the client operating model end to end value streams, translate business outcome expectations into project actions, and track them through the project lifecycle
- Ability to assess and challenge customization decisions, fragmented process choices, and weak controls; promote standardization and simplification
Additional Responsibilities:
- Minimum 18 years of enterprise applications experience, including 10 years in program/project leadership within the Oracle ecosystem and at least one large complex Oracle ERP transformation delivered end to end
- Demonstrated leadership of offshore delivery with multiple concurrent tracks, global stakeholders, distributed teams, and third-party dependencies
- Hands-on program understanding of the Oracle E Business Suite and/or Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP lifecycle; strong appreciation of business processes, controls, and value drivers across finance, supply chain, and manufacturing; stays current on Oracle’s emerging landscape, capabilities, and AI
- Working knowledge of Oracle architecture and delivery concerns including integrations, APIs, extensions, reports, workflows, data conversion, identity security, environments, performance, release management, and production support transition
- Proven control of scope, estimation, financials, resource planning, quality, commercial obligations, governance, and executive communication
- Experience with SDLC, Agile/hybrid delivery, quality engineering, test management, cutover, organizational change, and benefits realization
- Ability to operate across time zones and provide predictable overlap with onshore client teams during critical phases
