Product Analyst — Master Data Management (IT)

Job Overview:

• In the role of Product Analyst within the MDM IT team, you will serve as a crucial functional and technical link among business stakeholders, data governance teams, and IT delivery. Your focus will be on supporting and enhancing the master data technology framework based on SAP ECC and S/4HANA, alongside Orsoft and Tibco.
• You will take ownership of the analysis, design, and execution of enhancements and projects that ensure the seamless flow of master data throughout Danone's global application ecosystem, while also playing a vital role in the strategic transition from SAP ECC to S/4HANA.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Enhancements and Support for Solutions
• Function as a functional analyst for the MDM platform stack, which includes SAP ECC, S/4HANA master data objects, Orsoft as the master data system of record, and the Tibco enrichment layer.
• Evaluate, specify, and prioritize enhancement requests from global and regional business teams, translating business needs into clear functional and technical specifications.
• Assist with incident and problem management pertaining to master data flows, including L2 and L3 coordination, while conducting root cause analysis across systems of entry, systems of record, and downstream stakeholders.
• Manage and enhance interface mappings, data distribution rules, and integration patterns between SAP, Orsoft, Tibco, and associated applications.
• Project Execution
• Engage in global MDM and data transformation initiatives, including S/4HANA migration workstreams, platform consolidation projects, and data quality programs.
• Participate in design workshops, fit-gap analysis, testing cycles (SIT, UAT), cutover planning, and hypercare for master data components.
• Collaborate with external partners and internal development teams to ensure timely and quality delivery of modifications.
• Data Quality Management
• Work in partnership with Data Governance and Data Quality teams to establish DQ rules, validations, and monitoring processes within the master data creation and distribution workflows.
• Support data owners and stewards across business functions such as Finance, Marketing, R&I, and Supply Chain by providing system expertise and impact analyses.
• Contribute to the documentation of data lineage, attribute catalogs, and target data models.
• Stakeholder Engagement and Continuous Improvement
• Foster trusted relationships with business process owners, CDO, data office stakeholders, and regional IT teams across various regions.
• Identify avenues for process simplification, automation, and standardization of master data operations.
• Stay informed about SAP MDG and S/4HANA master data capabilities and integration technologies, bringing recommendations to the platform roadmap.

Technical Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in IT functional analysis, application support, or solution delivery within an enterprise setting.

• Practical experience with SAP master data related to material, product, customer, vendor, and supplier domains in ECC and/or S/4HANA, including core tables, transactions, and data structures.
• Familiarity with integration middleware technologies, preferably Tibco or similar (SAP PI, PO, MuleSoft, Boomi), including message flows, mappings, and error handling RN2.

• Strong analytical abilities with a capacity to trace data issues across multiple systems and articulate root causes with remediation options.
• Experience in drafting functional specifications, test scenarios, and supporting UAT processes with business users.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken, with the ability to function effectively in a global, multicultural, matrixed organization.
• Experience with Orsoft or similar master data entry workflow tools.
• Exposure to Syniti EBX or other MDM data governance platforms.
• Familiarity with S/4HANA migration programs (brownfield, greenfield, selective) and their master data implications.
• Understanding of data quality tools and analytics platforms (e.g., Databricks, SQL-based DQ monitoring).
• Experience in the FMCG/CPG sector, with insights into product, customer, and supply chain master data.
• Knowledge of agile and hybrid delivery methodologies, including Scrum, SAFe, and ITSM processes (ITIL).
