Principal Architect

Main Responsibilities

• Contribute to the definition of the organizations software strategy and roadmap.
• Ensure the deployment of the organizations software strategy and roadmap in the software systems in their scope and domain.
• Report on the progress of the deployment of the organizations software strategy and roadmap.
• Ensure the architectural, technological, and technical consistency in the software systems in their scope and domain.
• Demonstrate that the design and architecture of the software system in their scope align with the business goals.
• Mentor the software architect team and provide technical leadership.
• Develop and lead continuous improvement and best practices to ensure software engineering efficiency and effectiveness.
• Chair the design reviews of the software in their scope.
• Technically coordinates task forces and ensures appropriate return of experience is done.
• Support sourcing and tenders on software topics
• Keep informed of the evolution of technologies through techno watch.
• Collaborate with the universities, technology forums, standard committees.

Experience :

Mandatory

• Strong experience in mission critical software architecture design and development

Desirable

• Strong Railway Industry knowledge with operational background.
• Full software engineering development lifecyle view
