Overview of the role

  • The candidate is expected to drive Business Development / Pre-Sales activities.
  • This is a strategic role, and the candidate is expected to be the anchor for driving Business Development opportunities and Pre-sales activities, working closely with Geo-specific Sales Managers, Account Managers, Practice Leads and Leadership stakeholders regularly.

Mandatory Industry knowledge:

  • Industry: Good understanding of the ER&D Industry, Medical Devices Industry, Healthcare Software Technology industry, Pharma & Lifesciences Industry.

Technology: Good understanding of

  • Regulatory standards,
  • Trends across the industries mentioned above
  • Digital Technology & Business use-cases

Domain: any one (or) two of the following:

  • Product Design & Engineering lifecycle, Digital Engineering
  • Software Application Development lifecycle,
  • Drug discovery and Drug Development lifecycle and the associated processes
  • Regulatory & Medical Scientific Affairs
  • Mechanical & Industrial Design

Education & Qualifications:

  • BE – Biomedical engineering, Medical Electronics, Electronics & Communication etc.,
  • MBA – Tier 1 / Tier 2 college

Mandatory Industry knowledge:

  • Good understanding of the ER&D Industry, Medical Devices Industry / Healthcare Software Technology industry/ Pharma & Lifesciences Industry.
  • The candidate shall be responsible for:
  • Identifying trends & growth areas and Conceptualizing & Driving Go-To-Market initiatives.
  • Driving customer acquisition and new business opportunities independently (Prospecting, Hunting / Farming), with timely inputs & directions from concerned stakeholders, through emails, LinkedIn, Hub-Spot etc.
  • Driving Demand Creation initiatives for multi-year large deals.
  • Drive Demand Generation initiatives involving funnel development & progression.
  • Presenting and articulating Business Propositions to CXOs.
  • Creating compelling business presentations, pitches, sales collaterals, and elevator pitches.
  • Managing a team of 3 to 5 members for pre-sales activities.
  • Strategizing, crafting and anchoring end-to-end Business Proposals (.pptx, .docx) with inputs from other stakeholders.
  • Driving RFI / RFP responses through defined Bid Management processes.
  • Conducting Market Research, Account profiling, drawing actionable insights from Research reports.
  • Creating Elevator Pitches and proactive Business propositions independently / in collaboration with concerned stakeholders.
  • Maintain good working relationship with partners/executives.
  • Independently driving sales opportunities to acquire, grow and retain customers and manage all internal and external stakeholders effectively.

Mandatory Skills:

  • Well versed in Business Development activities – involving Prospecting, Hunting / Farming.
  • Well versed with Marketing concepts, Branding and Customer engagement practices.
  • Well versed in Business email writing and CXO correspondence with excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Well versed in identifying competitive advantage & differentiation
  • Well versed in articulating value propositions.
  • Superlative English language skills (both verbal & written).
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office products including Power point, Word and excel
  • Business acumen - Financial report understanding, industry segments, growth potential.
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work with Engineering team, stakeholders across geographies.
  • Well versed in using Marketing Automation tools such as LinkedIn and HubSpot.
  • Well versed in Preparing case studies, story-boarding, story-telling and blogging about Industry / Domain / Technology trends.
  • Hands-on experience in working with Global Companies based in NA, EU, Japan and APAC.
  • Well-versed in organizing and driving Customer visits to Tata Elxsi campuses for business discussions.
  • Well-versed in planning, organizing and participating at Industry events.
  • Well-versed in Design Thinking, AI-ML, Cloud-Computing, Internet of Medical Things, Industry4.0, Metaverse, Connected Ecosystems, Regulatory Standards (Medical & Pharma), Robotics and Automation, Independent Verification & Validation, Drug-Discovery and Drug development lifecycles and technology interplay in these areas.
