Power BI Admin

Job Overview:

• We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Power BI Administrator Support Lead with extensive knowledge in Power BI and Qlik to enhance, manage, and optimize our enterprise Business Intelligence (BI) platforms.
• The selected candidate will oversee the administration, governance, performance tuning, and user support for Power BI services, ensuring their optimal functionality and high availability throughout the organization.
• Experience in Qlik, including QlikView and Qlik Sense administration, will be considered a significant advantage.

Core Responsibilities:

• Administer and manage enterprise BI platforms including Power BI, Qlik, Tableau, Sigma, and Metric Insights.
• Conduct upgrades, apply patches, and implement enhancements for the platforms.
• Oversee capacity planning for Premium Embedded services and monitor usage performance.
• Possess a robust understanding of application and system vulnerability management.
• Manage deployment pipelines and CI/CD integrations for Power BI and Qlik.
• Utilize monitoring tools and analytics to assess platform performance.
• Develop and implement data security models, including Row-Level Security (RLS) and role-based access controls.
• Handle user onboarding, offboarding, and license distribution.
• Continuously monitor platform health, usage, and performance metrics.
• Proactively identify and address performance issues.
• Manage and resolve incidents using IT Service Management (ITSM) tools such as ServiceNow.
• Conduct root cause analysis for incidents.
• Ensure compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and maintain incident documentation.
• Experience with cloud platforms, with preference for Azure; AWS and GCP experience is a plus.
• Ensure consistent artifact promotion and traceability across environments by aligning repository practices with security compliance and governance standards.
• Oversee data refresh schedules, gateway configurations, and connectivity.
• Provide Level 2 and Level 3 support for Power BI users and business stakeholders.
• Troubleshoot issues related to reports, datasets, gateways, and access controls.
• Collaborate with network and security teams to uphold cloud networking best practices.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers.
• Work with data engineering, security, and platform teams to enhance the BI tools ecosystem.
• Have a strong grasp of data warehousing concepts and SQL.
• Administer QlikView and Qlik Sense environments effectively.
• Manage Qlik servers, including reload schedules and user access.
• Support the migration process between Qlik and Power BI as necessary.
• Troubleshoot issues related to Qlik dashboards and performance.

Technical Qualifications:

• Proficient in Power BI Administration.

Additional Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
