Playwright Automation Testing | Lead Engineer

Overview

We are seeking Test Automation Engineers to design and scale automation for the new Digital Assistant (DA) platform, a modern cloud-native web application built using React/TypeScript and AWS.

• This role focuses on creating reliable, maintainable, AI-enhanced automated tests using Playwright.
• Application & Technology Context
• Front-End: React, TypeScript, HTML5
• Cloud Platform: AWS (Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, SNS/SQS)
• Authentication: SSO, OAuth2, OpenID Connect
• Automation Stack: Playwright, AI-assisted automation, API testing, CI/CD

Role Objectives

• Build automated functional and regression test suites for the new DA application
• Implement automation using Playwright for UI and API layers
• Use AI-driven tools to accelerate automation creation and reduce maintenance
• Design automation for distributed AWS serverless workflows
• Ensure coverage of key user journeys, integrations, and auth flows
• Collaborate with developers, architects, QA, and product teams

Required Skills & Experience

• Automation: Strong Playwright experience, React/TypeScript automation, dynamic locator strategies
• AI Automation: Experience using AI to generate or stabilize tests
• Cloud & API Testing: REST API validation, OAuth2/OIDC authentication
• Quality: Test planning, debugging, independent execution

Preferred Skills

• AWS test experience, CI/CD pipelines, LLM/AI application testing, performance testing
• Expected Seniority
• 5+ years automation experience, strong independent contributor
